On March 17th, a visiting group of 23 students from the top high school in Canada, Upper Canada College (UCC), arrived at our school to kick off a one-week exchange and study program.

On the morning of the 17th, our school held a welcome ceremony for the visiting study group that traveled a long distance. Relevant officials from the International Office and the International Education College attended the ceremony. The Director of the International Office, Wu Jian, first addressed the ceremony, warmly welcoming the arrival of the visiting group from the UCC. He introduced the basic situation of Hangdian University and emphasized that this exchange activity not only provided valuable cross-cultural learning opportunities for the teachers and students of the two schools but also laid a solid foundation for future broader international cooperation.

Subsequently, the Dean of the School of International Education, Wang Yian, delivered a speech. He introduced the achievements of our college's International Education College in recent years, hoping that through this exchange activity, both parties can engage in in-depth discussions on student training in China, short-term exchange programs, etc., explore more cooperative models, and provide students with richer international learning experiences.

Professor Sophia Berezowsky, the leader of the visiting team from the UCC, spoke on behalf of the visiting group. She expressed gratitude for the warm reception from our school and introduced the history, educational features, and main objectives of the UCC. She stated that this exchange is not only an academic journey but also a cultural experience trip, looking forward to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the teachers and students of both sides through this event.

Finally, the representative of UCC students spoke, expressing anticipation and expectations for this exchange activity. They hope that through this week of interaction, they can broaden their horizons, enhance friendships, and contribute to future international exchanges and cooperation.

This study visit group is organized by the School of International Education. In the coming week, Canadian students and teachers will embark on an exciting and diverse study tour in Hangzhou. The school has carefully arranged Chinese language and Chinese culture experience courses, and they will also participate in a variety of cultural and tourism activities, visit high-tech enterprises such as Alibaba, enter Hangzhou No. 1 High School affiliated with Hangzhou Dianzi University, feel the historical heritage, natural scenery, and development vitality of Hangzhou, and enhance understanding and friendship with Chinese youth.

It is reported that UCC was founded in 1829 and is one of the oldest and most influential private boys' schools in Canada, located in Toronto, Ontario. The school is renowned for its excellent academic standards and comprehensive quality education, having nurtured many outstanding individuals in politics, business, and the cultural field.
