公历九月十日，正是中国农历八月十五，人望夜空月圆、共思人间团圆之日。
On September 10, the 15th of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar, people reunified together under the full moon in the night.
为感受中国传统文化佳节的魅力，9月10日晚7时，国际教育学院外国留学生联合会，在我校研究生公寓37号楼2单元活动室，举办了首次境内外师生中秋联欢晚会。
In order to feel the charm of the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn festival, International Students’ Union from the School of International Education held the first Mid-Autumn Festival celebration for students and teachers inside and outside of China at 7:00 pm on September 10 in the Activities’ Room of Unit 2, Building 37, Graduate Student Dormitory of the University.
在校内的国际教育学院教师代表，来自哈萨克斯坦、乌兹别克斯坦、俄罗斯、孟加拉、摩洛哥、吉尔吉斯坦、尼日利亚、叙利亚等8个国家的约30位在校留学生，与因疫情影响未能返校的境外留学生代表，跨越时空，云上共赏月；齐聚一堂，团聚共言欢。来自俄罗斯的陶玉姣与乌兹别克斯坦的火王同学，共同担任了本次中秋晚会的主持人。
A representative teacher of the School of International Education and about 30 international students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Morocco, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Syria and other countries, as well as representatives of internatonional students who could not return to China because of the epidemic, enjoyed the celebration together across the time and the distance. Titkova Aleksandra from Russia and Khoshimov Odiljon from Uzbekistan were the hosts of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.
首先，国际教育学院李君宇老师致佳节贺辞，并向留学生们介绍了中秋节的中国传统文化内涵，表示：中秋，是一脉缕缕不断的眷念，是一代又一代人对家人、爱人、亲朋好友的浓情挂牵，它寄托着人们对美好生活的愿望，祈盼好运当头、月圆人圆，这是不分国家、不分种族，全人类都共同拥有的美好情感，这也是今天活动主题 “中秋月夜大团圆，天涯海角共此时”的真实含义。
First, Ms. Li Junyu from School of International Education gave a congratulatory speech and introduced the traditional Chinese culture of Mid-Autumn Festival to international students, saying that Mid-Autumn Festival is a continuous longing and a strong attachment to family, loved ones, friends and relatives through generations, and this is a beautiful emotion shared by all human beings regardless of countries and races, and this is also the real meaning of this activity.
接下来，主持人围绕中秋节是中国第二大传统节日的主题，以PPT演讲+线上线下实时互动形式，讲解了中秋节的历史渊源、有关嫦娥奔月的传说，以及中秋节最重要的美食——中国月饼种类及制作方法，现场的留学生们听得津津有味。学生们了解到，中秋节已有3000多年的历史。它来自上古天象崇拜——敬月习俗。通过文化和历史不断发展，中秋节充满了更多的意义，包括家庭聚会、祈盼健康快乐。这一天的月亮是最明亮，最圆的，因而人们大多将中秋节作为家庭团圆的日子。
Next, the host explained the historical origin of Mid-Autumn Festival, the legend about Chang’e flying to the moon, the most important pastry of Mid-Autumn Festival, and the different Chinese moon cakes and how it’s made as PPT presentation including online and offline real-time interaction, which took the attention of international students at the scene. Students learned that the Mid-Autumn Festival has a history of over 3,000 years. It comes from the ancient worshiping and honoring to the moon. Through continuous cultural and historical development, the Mid-Autumn Festival is filled with more meanings, including family gatherings and prayers for health and happiness. The moon is the brightest and roundest on this day, thus people mostly use the Mid-Autumn Festival as a day for family reunions for pursuing the completeness in the reunion.
随后，现场播放了我校大家庭中特殊的家庭成员——素未谋面、但同窗三年的海外留学生们的祝福视频。视频结束，境外学生代表连线境内活动现场，提出他们关心的问题，比如，关于中国你最喜欢什么？中国人如何庆祝中秋节？月饼都有什么味道等等。在校留学生积极踊跃，各抒己见，现场氛围即刻变得温馨热闹起来，渐近高潮。
After that, a video of blessings from the special members of our university family was shown. The video is made by overseas students who have never met each other but have studied together for three years. At the end of the video call, representatives of overseas students asked questions they were interested in, such as, what do you like most about China? How do Chinese people celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival? What are the flavors of mooncakes? etc. Answering questions by students on campus made the atmosphere of the event warm and immediately lively.
视频连线结束后，境内留学生们面对明月，心向全球，同声祝愿：“中秋快乐”，境内外同学互道晚安。现场师生共同进入了“举杯邀明月，低头共欢庆”的境界，思故乡、同心寄心愿；话团圆，共情互祝福，中秋晚会的节庆氛围，也随之达到了“月夜大团圆，天涯共此时”的高潮。
After the video call, teachers and students were feeling the bright moon, thinking about their hometown and sending their wishes with one heart which made the festive atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration reach the climax of being unified as a family under the moonlight.
短暂的休息之后，留学生们一同观看了电影《飞奔去月球》。这部电影，将中国传统神话故事加以现代化改编，讲述了小女孩菲菲的奔月故事，菲菲是一个从小听着妈妈讲述嫦娥与后羿爱情故事长大的孩子，她坚信嫦娥是真爱永恒的化身，坚信这种永恒的真爱是真实存在的，于是就动手制作了一艘“火箭飞船”，开启了一段奇妙的奔月之旅。留学生们通过观看这部电影，进一步了解到，嫦娥奔月这一故事传说，其中蕴含有的人类心向未来，志在星辰大海的文化底蕴，更深刻体验感受到了，中国中秋节背后，浓重的人间深情、远大的追求志向。
After a quick break, international students watched the movie “Over the Moon” together. This movie is a modernized adaptation of the traditional Chinese mythology, which tells the story of Fei Fei, a young girl who grew up listening to her mother’s love story of Chang’e and Houyi, and started a wonderful journey to the moon. Through watching this movie, students further understood the story and legend of Chang’e, which contains the cultural heritage of humanity’s heart and its passion to be unified in families, and more profoundly students experienced and felt the deep love and spirit of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
电影结束后，留学生们来到公寓楼外，共赏圆月、并以空中明月为背景，师生合影定格这美好难忘的一刻。
The moon was in the blue sky like a shiny plate. After the movie, students came outside the building to enjoy the full moon together and took a photo with the moon in the sky as the background to frame this beautiful and unforgettable moment.
此次晚会活动，在国际教育学院组织下，凝聚了留联会同学们为此付出的大量心血和汗水，进一步拉近了海内外留学生之间、师生之间心与心的距离；师生们共同体会到：尽管我们身处世界各地，但我们生活在同一片明月下的同一个世界，我们是共结杭电学缘的同一个命运共同体。
The celebration was organized by the School of International Education, and it was made because of the big efforts of all levels and members of the International Students’ Union, and further dramatically decreased the distance between teachers and students inside and outside china.
