Grand Event Opens: Building a Bridge for the World to Understand Hangzhou:
On July 10th, a grand event focusing on "Openness, Connection, and Dialogue" was held at the Hangzhou International Communication Center. The event, themed "Empowering Generation Z to Express Internationally," gathered leaders from the Hangzhou Municipal Propaganda Department, leaders from Hangzhou Newspaper Group, representatives from the schools of international education of 11 universities in Hangzhou, and over a hundred international students. The Director of Student Affairs Office of the School of International Education of Hangzhou Dianzi University, Yang Quanquan, and 5 representatives of international students from Hangzhou Dianzi University were invited to attend the event. Yang Quanquan participated in a roundtable forum, discussing new paths for international communication with various experts, showcasing Hangzhou Dianzi University's unique thinking in the cultivation of international talents and the promotion of the city's brand.

Hangzhou International Communication Center Director Jiang Xian is currently delivering a speech, saying that the Hangzhou International Communication Center hopes "to make the world fall in love with Hangzhou," and therefore needs everyone to innovate content and deepen emotions. As an international metropolis where historical and cultural heritage blends with modern innovation, Hangzhou is looking forward to leveraging the unique perspective and vigorous energy of Generation Z youth to vividly depict a real and tangible, three-dimensional Hangzhou. Operations Director Ji Tao hopes to collaborate with universities through more innovation and breakthroughs to ignite more sparks in international communication and the advantages of universities.
University Strength: Innovation and Practice Gather the Voice of Youth:
In the university sharing and roundtable discussion sessions of the event, various schools showcased rich international communication innovation practices: there were successful examples of creating seasonal culture IP and going global; there were explorations proposing the "Three-dimensional Empowerment" plan to promote international students as the main actors in communication; there were insights emphasizing the close integration of communication practice with international students' career development from a grassroots perspective; and there were also positive attempts at diverse paths such as focusing on characteristic disciplines to create exclusive IPs, promoting role transformation, cultivating new forces, and deepening cultural symbols.
Yang Quanquan contributed grassroots practice wisdom at the roundtable forum—she detailed how the school selects and organizes the "IHDU International Student Communication Officer" team represented by Richard, Mingzhu, and actively promotes this team to play a positive role in promoting Zhejiang's humanistic history, digital technology, beautiful villages, common prosperity, and grassroots governance. She also shared how the school deeply combines the international communication advantages of international students with corporate overseas expansion strategies (such as cooperation with companies like Hualite, Lidiao, Hangxiang Steel Structure) and ingeniously integrates international students' personal career development needs into corporate globalization strategies in an innovative model.
Subsequently, in the "Generation Z International Youth Lightning Share" session, representatives of international students from various universities delivered excellent speeches. They combined their own learning and living experiences in Hangzhou, told the story of Hangzhou with unique cultural perspectives, and demonstrated the important bridge role played by Generation Z youth in cross-cultural communication.

Collaboration between schools and the land helps spread the story of Hangzhou far and wide:
The Hangzhou International Communication Center awarded the "Hangzhou Overseas Broadcast Officer" appointment letter to outstanding Z-generation international student representatives. Five outstanding international students from our school, including Richard, were appointed as Z-generation broadcast officers.
Finally, including Hangzhou Dianzi University of Technology, eleven universities in Hangzhou jointly signed an agreement with the Hangzhou International Communication Center to officially establish the "International Communication Collaborative Body of Universities in Hangzhou." This marks a new stage of institutionalization and normalization in the collaborative promotion of international communication between schools and the local government. Universities will establish long-term cooperative communication ties with the Hangzhou International Communication Center to promote the continuous transmission of Hangzhou's voice to the world by international students.

Hangzhou is the "window of Chinese stories," and international communication is the "bridge to understanding China." This open day event marks a new starting point for gathering wisdom and igniting passion. Hangzhou Dianzi University will rely on the important platform of "International Communication Collaborative Body of Universities in Hangzhou" to give full play to the school's unique advantages in information technology and other fields, exploring more diverse and effective paths of international communication. In the future, Hangzhou Dianzi University students and faculty will closely collaborate with the international communication center, allowing the Hangzhou story, carrying innovation vitality and youthful spirit, to cross mountains and seas, touch the world, and jointly write a new chapter in international communication.
